Amazon is willing to pay €11.2m to the Premier League team to produce a documentary
NEWS MANCHESTER CITY AMAZON / When the contract will be signed, Amazon will record content behind the cameras throughout the season in order to show to the fans what happens in the secret rooms of a club. Amazon’s cameras will have access in every area of the club. The American company will be able to film and report what happens in the locker room and on the training field.
Amazon ready to produce a series on Manchester City
Amazon’s main goal is to follow players and staff inside and outside the field to produce a very special series that will be available only on Amazon Prime.
According to Spanish outlet ‘La jugada financera’, Sky Sports U.K. would not be happy about this possible agreement between Manchester City and Amazon. Of course, their discontent is due to economic factors. In fact, Sky and BT pay €5.7bn for the Premier League TV rights until 2019.
Although an agreement between the British club and the American company hasn't been confirmed yet, rumors are stating that negotiations are ongoing.
Amazon seems to be interested in purchasing the Premier league TV rights for the period 2019-22. The bidding process will start in February.
