The first sales window closed when 23 teams out of 32 qualified
NEWS 2018 WORLD CUP FIFA / Italy and a few other major national teams are still struggling and hoping to travel to Russia this summer but, as reported by FIFA, there's a great demand for tickets for the 2018 World Cup.
Although the preliminary forecasted ticket demand was set at 2 million, the latest news released by the organizer of this great football event reports a sensible increment, 3.4m.
2018 World Cup in Russia, ticket boost
Currently, 23 teams qualified for the competition that will take place in Russia this summer but many major teams are waiting for the playoffs to have the final green light and the possibility to purchase the desired airplane tickets. Italy and Croatia are definitely two teams that will be missed if they are not able to qualify.
FIFA unveiled that most applications were processed from Russia while international demand accounts for more than 30 percent. The second sales window is scheduled from November 16 to the 28.
