Barcelona CEO confirms interest in Coutinho: “Ready to sign him”

The manager of the Blaugrana unveiled that the club is financially ready to please Valverde

TRANSFER MARKET BARCELONA COUTINHO / In the past transfer market window, we have seen Neymar's move from Barcelona to PSG and the consequent search for talents of the Blaugrana. Barcelona pursued Borussia Dortmund's Dembelè but the winger picked up a bad injury and he will be unavailable for a while. The club is still screening the market. The Spanish side needs to increase its quality in midfield.

Barcelona's CEO Oscar Grau unveils negotiations for Coutinho

Last summer, Barcelona made a couple of offers to Liverpool FC for Coutinho but the British giants gently refused. Nowadays, the situation has not changed as confirmed by Barcelona's CEO Oscar Grau in an interview released to 'ESPN FC'.

“We are financially ready to pursue Coutinho or other players of that value. We want the best for our coach. Valverde believes that we have to improve in midfield. He wants more quality there and we will do our best to please him.

The club is generating great revenues, the highest of any club in the world. Not even NBA or NFL teams reach these numbers.”

Mr. Grau unveiled Barcelona's predicted revenue of €897m for this season, an increase of €189m on last season. The club is ready to reach its target of €1bn a year by 2021.

Coutinho is, therefore, a Barca target too. Although Calciomercato.it also reported that PSG is ready to make a monster offer for the Brazilian talent, the Blaugrana are not willing to lose the opportunity to sign him.

We will face another transfer market war between Barcelona and PSG soon!
