Batistuta attacks the Argentine Football Association and praises Messi

The former striker believes that there are issues to be solved off the field

ARGENTINA BATISTUTA MESSI / Former Fiorentina and Roma striker Gabriel Omar Batistuta spoke about the issues that his national team is experiencing during the qualification to the World Cup 2018

As reported by 'La Nacion', the Argentine star is not happy with the actual situation and he believes that something must be done off the field in order to change route and reach the qualification to the most important international competition for national teams.

“This is a very uncomfortable situation for Argentina. Sampaoli didn't have enough time to work with his roster and this is a problem. Peru is a tough opponent because they won a couple of matches in this period. This match will be a national event for them. But Argentina needs to win.

I don't believe that a few Argentine players are mentally struggling when they play with the national team. I can understand that there is so much pressure around albeit I never had this issue when I was playing for my country.

The main issue is the lack of organization within the Argentine Football Association. Argentina is in trouble due to off the field issues.

Messi is doing his best but his teammates are not supporting him properly.”
