The Spaniard would love to train a national team
GUARDIOLA SPAIN MANCHESTER CITY / One of the best coaches of the last decade is definitely Pep Guardiola. After a good future as a midfielder primarily with Barcelona and partially with Roma, the Spaniard began his career as a manager. His success has been unbelievable!
Guardiola won several national and international trophies with the Blaugrana before doing the same in Germany with Bayern Munich and starting a new tough challenge in the U.K. with Manchester City. Although last season with the British team didn't go well, Guardiola is still considered a great and revolutionary coach able to implement his tactical strategies everywhere he goes.
The 46-year-old says he is also keen to test his skills at international level. Recently, 'BBC's Football Focus' interviewed the Spaniard. Guardiola was asked whether he would like to take charge of a national team and his reply was firm and sincere.
“Yes, I would love to train a national team, maybe Spain. It would be great to participate in the World Cup and the European Cup.
However, nowadays I am very happy here in Manchester. I know that we have to win something. Also because if you don't win, you cannot remain in such a big club.”
