The Spanish giant is seeking a new airline partner
BARCELONA QATAR AIRWAYS / Barcelona and Qatar Airways are not in agreement anymore. According to 'ESPN FC', the Spanish giant is ready to change sponsor after talks ended over the continued use of the company as the club's official airline partner.
Although the company based in Abu Dhabi is Barcelona's shirt sponsor since 2011, nowadays the situation has changed. The Blaugrana want to monetize more and they are not happy with the deal in place.
The club had an agreement with Qatar Airways for a four-year deal worth €12.5 million a season but due to Neymar's departure, the deal fell through.
Reportedly, Barcelona is banking almost €900m from its various sponsors (Nike, Rakuten, and Beko) but the President of the Blaugrana (Bartolomeu) wants revenue totaling €1bn by 2021.
