Calcomercato.it interviewed the former Parma and Bologna coach
SERIE B EXCLUSIVE COLOMBA / After matchday 5, the Serie B features surprises and consolidated sides. Several teams are competing to reach the Serie A.
Calciomercato.it spoke with Franco Colomba, the former Parma and Bologna coach.
“This is going to be a great league, engaging and emotional. Several clubs will compete for the playoff and other for the play-out. Serie B is uncertain and balanced. It's going to be a very difficult league but engaging as well.
Franco Colomba believes that two teams have more chances than others to reach the Serie A.
“Palermo and Perugia are the best sides. Behind them, I see Frosinone, Carpi, Parma, Empoli, Bari. These are my favorite clubs but there could be some surprises. A top surprise could be Venezia.”
In the last few years, a few great coaches were able to change the values on the field.
“This is true, there are several good coaches in the Serie B. They work hard and improve from a tactical and technical standpoint. I am happy that there are Italian coaches working with these clubs. I am following Perugia's Federico Giunti and Venezia's Filippo Inzaghi.”
