The Germany international picked up another injury to his left foot
BAYERN MUNICH INJURY NEUER / Bayern Munich's Manuel Neuer has been ruled out until 2018 due to an injury in training on Monday. The goalkeeper has a fracture to a metatarsal in his left foot.
The 31-year-old underwent successful surgery on Tuesday. The Germany international will be out for four months.
Carlo Ancelotti will not be able to use his top-level keeper for a long time. The Italian coach is ready to screen the market to find a good replacement for the talented goalkeeper. Neuer should be fit not before February because, after the standard recovery period, the player will need to train hard to return to the professional activity. Likely, Ancelotti will purchase another player in the January transfer window.
