The Italian fullback could be injured for a long time
MILAN INJURY CONTI / A suspected cruciate ligament rupture for Andrea Conti. Milan risks losing his Italian fullback for a long time.
This summer, Milan invested a significant amount of money to sign Atalanta's fullback Conti. Montella needed a player able to properly cover his area of competence but also with a great offensive propulsion to support the midfielder and eventually the strikers. Andrea Conti was the perfect profile for the Rossoneri and after his acquisition, the supporters were excited.
The situation has dramatically changed in the last few weeks. Conti picked up an injury with the Italian national team and for this reason, he wasn't available in the Serie A match against Lazio.
Recent rumors are stating that Conti's physical condition is presumably serious. The knee of the Italian defender cracked. Reportedly, he suffers from a possible cruciate ligament rupture. If this first report is confirmed, the player should undergo a surgery and he would be out for around four months.
