The captain of the Bianconeri analyzes the recent disappointing defeats
NEWS JUVENTUS/ Gianluigi Buffon is a reflexive guy. Someone who prefers to take a bit of time before saying something. Juventus' captain analyzed the recent defeat that his team suffered against Barcelona at the Camp Nou Stadium. He released an interview to 'Sky Sport' and stated:
“We have carefully analyzed the Champions League match with our coach. We have analyzed the technical and tactical part of it, as we always do. I believe that the final result is too penalizing for us. We always need to keep a high intensity and ferocity but, especially during the second-half, we were too long on the field. Probably, it happened because we were trying to make a comeback but these teams don't give you the possibility to do so.
After Spain, you got another defeat against Barcelona. What do you think? My frustration is that this footballing cycle meant that at the end of the game I had to always congratulate the same players for their wins. Whatever is Spain, Real Madrid or Barcelona, I always saluted Isco, Piqué, Ramos etc. This is a bit frustrating.
From a psychological point of view, we have to be good and ready to face them again being confident that we can defeat them too. I believe that we can defeat them in a certain way.
Messi scored the first goal of his career against me. Given the frequency with which he scores goals, I made a record having conceded to him only one goal. When a player like Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo kicks the ball you see that their shot has a different consistency in respect to the other players. I congratulated him at the end of the match.”
