Barcelona and Arsenal are interested in the 17-year old Brazilian too
TRANSFER MARKET ROMA RESENDE / Roma seems to be very active on the Brazilian market. Historically, the giallorossi purchased several players from that side of the world.
According to Calciomercato.it, Roma is interested in Rafael Resende, a player that is currently part of Fluminense. Resende is often compared to Barcelona's Rakitic for his qualities on the midfield line and his ability to intercept the ball. The Brazilian is really young though. He is just a 17-year old and he needs to improve before he can reach Barcelona star's level.
Barcelona and Arsenal are chasing the player as well. A couple of years ago, the Blaugrana lost a transfer market challenge with the giallorossi for another Brazilian talent, Gerson. Barcelona's sporting director would like to win this challenge and sign Rafael Resende as soon as possible.
Arsenal is monitoring the situation too. Wenger is always happy to bring to London great youngsters and Resende seems to be a perfect profile for the Gunners.
Rafael Resende is part of the Under-17 Brazilian national team. However, the player will not be able to participate in the next Under-17 World Cup (from October 6 to 28) due to an injury.
