Lazio-Milan, Montella: “We need to improve. I didn’t like myself”

The Italian coach has commented the bad defeat

LAZIO MILAN MONTELLA / Today, Milan suffered a bad defeat in the Serie A away match against Lazio (4-1 the final result). Milan's coach Vincenzo Montella analyzed the defeat with 'Premium Sport': “This is a very bad defeat. several things didn't work out. We started the match with the right approach but then something has changed. They were very cynical and we didn't have the mental strength to change the match. We need to become a team and I know that there's no time for that. Lazio is a team that is already done and with personality. The Italian league is fierce. It doesn't wait for you to improve. I will probably change something of my tactical scheme in the future.

Bonucci is not experiencing difficulties. It's the team that is not performing well. Today, we weren't balanced and aggressive. I didn't like my team and myself as well.

I believe that my team is in a good general condition but I had a weird feeling today. It seemed like if we were physically struggling. When you're not mentally in the match you don't run properly and you suffer. Today's final result is too bad. It's normal that we experience highs and lows but we need to improve soon.”
