The captain doesn’t want to leave his adored club

“I hope to be able to pass Maradona's record. He is a God in Naples and it would be amazing to stay ahead of him. However, I cannot compare myself to him. If I can reach that record and the Scudetto in the same year it would be great. But this Serie A is more difficult. There are five clubs aiming for the title.
Certainly, our Champions League group is not super tough but all teams have qualities. The Ukrainian team has experience and Feyenoord won the Dutch League. The Champions League is not our goal but we can do better than last year in this competition.”
Many things have changed in the last few years. Benitez gave a very offensive mentality to the team and top level players like Higuain have arrived. Sarri is currently amazing everyone.
“He is a great motivator, a man able to push you to the limit. He prepares the matches carefully. I have never seen something like that. We know everything about our opponents. But we also know that we have to impose our way to play.
It's difficult to talk about my future. I won't leave Naples. I have already refused Juventus and Milan's offer because I wasn't ready to go. I am very happy to be here. I could close my career here, perhaps after having won a title. I hope that I don't have to wait until I'm 40.”
