FIGC’s General Director spoke the day after Italy vs Israel
ITALY VENTURA WORLD CUP UVA / FIGC's General Director Uva didn't appreaciate the fierce criticisms about Ventura and the Italian national team.
Michele Uva was interviewed by 'Tutti Convocati' on Radio 24 and stated:
“I am totally opposed to this self-defeating approach. Ventura, his staff, and the players are doing their best to play well. We are a population of coaches. Each of us likes different players and tactical schemes. But the whistles toward the Italian national team are unjustifiable.
I don't know what kind of terminology Tavecchio has used. I cannot interpret his words. Italy has never missed a World Cup and we have to work all together to avoid this scenario. I always think positive. This is not the first time that Italy faces a playoff. Last time we played and won on the field.”
