“He is one of the best strikers of the past 20-30-40 years. If a foreign club was paying his buyout clause I would have sold him. However, I am very happy that he remained with us. The transfer market period can be a distraction for the players. But he played a sensational match over Sassuolo. Belotti is very passionate about our colors.
Mihajlovic was aware that Belotti could have left. We would have had great economic resources in that case. He wanted to sign Niang and we did it.”
