Secondo la versione on line del 'Daily Star', l'allenatore dei 'Red Devils' Moyes, avrebbe richiesto il 27enne francese nel caso in cui la società non riuscisse ad acquistare né Fabregas né Fellaini. Al giocatore erano state accostate anche PSG e Roma.
