Everton targets Simeone to replace Ronald Koeman

Atletico Madrid’s Argentine coach is Farhad Moshiri’s first choice. Simeone would like an experience in the U.K.

TRANSFER MARKET EVERTON SIMEONE / Atletico Madrid's head coach Diego Simeone is one of the top professionals at this time. The Argentine coach is currently experiencing ups and downs in Spain. Atletico Madrid is not performing as expected and it is in serious trouble in the Champions League as well. With only two matches left in the Group C, the Spanish side sits in the third position and it has to face Roma at the Wanda Metropolitano hoping to change the course of its International campaign. 

In the U.K., though, several clubs are thinking about Simeone's future. Although the Argentine recently extended his contract with the Spanish giant until June 2020, his position within the club could suddenly change. 

Farhad Moshiri wants Simeone as a new Everton coach

Farhad Moshiri, Everton's majority shareholder, is attempting to lure the Argentine to Goodison Park. Ronald Koeman was sacked about a month ago and the management is currently screening the market to find the right man. Diego Simeone is Farhad's first choice but it's going to be really difficult to convince the coach to accept a role at Everton. 

There's another possibility for Simeone in the U.K. By the end of the season, Chelsea may need to find a new coach if Antonio Conte will resign to move back to Italy. To position of the Italian is unstable at this time, and Simeone would have the right temperament to replace him in West London. 

As reported by 'Echo', Simeone is attracted by the Premier League and the Serie A. In an interview released a while ago the Argentine stated: “I am a young coach and it would be possible for me to train in other leagues. It would be challenging to coach in the Premier League or in the Serie A. These are very attractive leagues for me.”
