Simeone roars: “We need full commitment from everyone”

The Argentine coach still believes in the potential of his players

NEWS ATLETICO MADRID SIMEONE / This is not the moment to complain but to work hard to solve an unsustainable situation. Atletico Madrid didn't start this season on the right path. The Spanish side won only one of the last eight games. Their Champions League campaign is very disappointing as well. Atletico Madrid collected only three points in four matches in the Group C. They are currently sitting in the third position well behind Roma (8 points) and Chelsea (7 points). 

Atletico Madrid, Simeone rejects criticism: “We need to work hard and stay positive”

Although Simeone's crew remains unbeaten in La Liga, Godin & Co. are not performing well in the domestic league as well. They are currently in the fourth position and its striker, Antoine Griezmann, didn't score any goals in the last six appearances. 

The Spanish giant is in the middle of a vortex. Press and media are criticizing Simeone's work and the attitude of his crew. Although the environment around Atletico Madrid seems to be electric, Diego Simeone is still confident, the season is not over and his guys will demonstrate their qualities. 

In the press conference ahead of the La Liga away match against Deportivo La Coruna, the Argentine roared: 

“I will not change my way to see football. I don't care about what people say. Definitely, we are a competitive team and we are going to demonstrate our qualities soon. 

We need to work hard and stay positive…this is the only way to change the current situation. We want to reach our top level but we need full commitment from everyone.”
