Inter challenges Milan for Barcelona’s Rakitic

The clubs of Milan are interested in the midfielder albeit his recent renewal with the Spanish side

TRANSFER MARKET INTER RAKITIC MILAN / Inter and Milan enter the race for Barcelona's Ivan Rakitic. The experienced Croatian star is a 29-year old midfielder who recently renewed his contract with the Blaugrana until 2021. He is a phenomenal centre-mid able to intercept the ball and support the offensive phase. 

The clubs of Milan are interested in signing him. His recent contract renewal doesn't hide his difficulties with Valverde's tactical scheme. The Croatian moved from Sevilla FC to Barcelona in 2014 for €18 million but the Blaugrana have recently included a huge buyout clause in his contract, €125 million. 

Although this clause could discourage everyone, Inter and Milan believe that if the player is unhappy he could be willing to go somewhere else. A new experience in Italy could be perfect for Ivan Rakitic. The clubs of Milan are very ambitious and the Croatian star could be another important piece to add to their rosters.
