Juventus, Oblak could be Buffon’s heir

Marotta and Paratici are astonished by the Atletico Madrid goalkeeper

TRANSFER MARKET OBLAK JUVENTUS BUFFON / Juventus monitors the transfer market at 360 degrees. Marotta and Paratici are already putting in place a few negotiations for the future of the club. 

According to 'Tuttosport', the Bianconeri are seriously interested in Oblak. This is a relevant name in the world of football. Oblak is in the spotlight because he is playing for one of the best teams in the world, Atletico Madrid. 

Several clubs are astonished by his performances with the Spanish side and Juventus is one of those. Marotta and Paratici could pursue a top player to replace Gigi Buffon who could retire at the end of the season. 

What about Szczesny though? 

The Polish goalkeeper was recently purchased after his great seasons played with Roma. The Bianconeri paid €15.3 million to Arsenal for the still young keeper who accepted the destination only because Buffon is ready to retire. Unless Juventus is thinking to resell the player for a premium, Oblak's arrival in Turin is improbable.

However, Marotta and Paratici have already approached the player's agents to ask his availability to move to Italy. Reportedly, Oblak is interested in listening to Juventus offer. 

The player is looking around for other opportunities. Last year, PSG was almost ready to pay his buyout clause (€100 million). Oblak's current contract is set to expire in 2021 but Atletico Madrid is going to propose an extension to the goalkeeper in order to discourage the other clubs from making an offer. 

Juventus didn't get in touch with Atletico Madrid at this time. As previously said, Marotta and Paratici are working on Oblak's agents before approaching the management of the Spanish side. Eventually, the Bianconeri could make an offer including a few players to reduce the economic outlay.
