MLS MARTINEZ ATLANTA UNITED FC TORINO / Probably, Torino's fans don't have great memories of the Venezuelan Josef Martinez but the striker is making the difference in the MLS.
Martinez has made 76 appearances with the Granata, scoring 13 goals and providing 16 assists for his teammates. However, Torino's President Cairo decided to trade him to Atlanta United FC. Since then, Martinez has played 15 matches scoring 17 goals!
His unbelievable performances in the USA have attracted the local media which are praising the gestures of the phenomenal Venezuelan striker. Martinez has scored seven times for Atlanta United in the last three home matches at their new home, the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The striker has, therefore, scored 16 goals on the season in only 14 appearances.
His teammates are shocked about his immense quality, rapidity, and killer instinct within the box. Atlanta United midfielder Miguel Almiron expressed his happiness for having Martinez in his team:
“Josef is our goalscorer. I believe that he is the best forward in the league.”
Even Julian Gressel highlighted that Martinez's performance on Saturday was “unbelievable” because he is always a threat for the opponents and he can keep the whole defense line busy.
