Napoli, Venerato: “Sarri? Roma was chasing him”

The famous journalist spoke about Ghoulam too

TRANSFER MARKET NAPOLI SARRI / The famous journalist Ciro Venerato was interviewed by 'Radio Crc' in the show 'Si gonfia la rete'. He spoke about Napoli and Calciomercato. 

“Maurizio Sarri is the best Italian coach. There's a release clause in his contract. If a €8 million release clause is paid to Napoli before May 31st, the coach would be free to leave. On the other side, if De Laurentiis pays €500,000, the automatic renew of Sarri's contract would be void. The Italian Serie A ends on May 20th while, as previously stated, the buyout clause ends on May 31st.

Zenit St. Petersburg was interested in the Italian coach but then they decided to sign Roberto Mancini. Roma got in contact with Sarri's agent as well. Atletico Madrid was thinking about him but then they renewed Simeone's contract. Maurizio Sarri is well appreciated in the Premier League as well. West Ham is chasing him. 

Let's be honest, Napoli must do something to keep this coach. His buyout clause is very low. I believe that Sarri will leave Napoli soon unless De Laurentiis is willing to give him €3-4 million a season. If Sarri wins the Scudetto he can hope for a better contract too, perhaps €7-8 million a season. 

In reference to Ghoulam, I can confirm that the player will renew his contract this week. Talking about Calciomercato I am crazy for two Italian players, Chiesa and Verdi. I hope Napoli will be able to sign both of them.”
