- In a harsh press release, Fiorentina stated they will take legal action against Mohamed Salah, who allegedly refused a 'better' contract and to be part of the club's preseason.
- Subsequently, Salah's lawyer claimed there is 'a document' proving that the player is free of any contract with Fiorentina – hitting back with the following sentence: 'Salah is a Chelsea player.
It's sad to see Fiorentina making such pathetic efforts'.
- Napoli's Lorenzo Insigne could become a new Viola player this summer.
