Mourinho confirms Fellaini possible departure from Manchester United

The Belgian star’s contract is set to expire at the end of the summer. Inter would trade him in to replace Joao Mario

MANCHESTER UNITED FELLAINI INTER / There are several possible deals on the transfer market. Marouane Fellaini is definitely one of them. Last September, the Belgian midfielder didn't accept Manchester United's contract renewal. The player is waiting for a better offer and he seems to be ready to move away from the 'Red Devils' if the team of Old Trafford is not willing to satisfy his economic demand.

The former Everton player moved to Manchester United on September 2, 2013, for €32 million. Since then, he made 144 appearances with the 'Red Devils' scoring 19 goals and 10 assists. Josè Mourinho firmly believes in his qualities, a strong midfielder with a great physicality and tactical wisdom. The Portuguese coach has admitted that his midfielder could leave soon. If the Belgian will not renew his commitment to Manchester United the club will be forced to speed up his departure to monetize on his exit.

Inter and PSG in the race for Fellaini. The Belgian could move in January

Several clubs are interested in the player. Top European powerhouses are monitoring the situation to get a possible deal. Fellaini could leave the U.K. already in January. Reportedly, PSG and Inter entered the race for the Belgian.

Recently, Inter's head coach Luciano Spalletti spoke about Joao Mario's situation. The Tuscan coach highlighted that the Portuguese need to do something more to play consistently in his starting 11. However, Spalletti also stated that he cannot do anything to change this situation. Joao Mario needs to overcome his physical and mental issues by himself. Inter's duo Ausilio-Sabatini are ready to approach the player to convince him to move to Milan soon.

Mourinho is, therefore, “worried.” Fellaini could start a new adventure somewhere else and, as the Portuguese coach stated, “there is nothing I can do” to influence the 30-year-old's decision.

Currently, the Belgian star is discussing his future with Manchester United's board. His transfer value has collapsed due to the imminent expiration of his contract. With approximately €10 million Inter could snatch him from the 'Red Devils'.
